Why are resident aliens allowed to buy handguns in certain states?

I am all for the second amendment, but why does it apply to people who aren't even citizens?

Legal residents are allowed in ALL states to purchase a weapon. Some gun advocates are the same people who claim their right to own a gun should not be impinged on, so why should a legal immigrant's right to own one be denied?
The question you should ask is how can we prevent NUTS from purchasing guns? The kids in Columbine, they were US citizens. It did not prevent them from being narcissistic and taking people out who they perceived as slighting them.
You have no problem when you benefit from the taxes paid by these legal resident aliens. You benefit when they put their life on the line for this country in the Armed Forces when they go off to war. The only right they are denied as a resident is the right to vote. Every thing else they are entitled to.

Federal regulation. you may basically purchase handguns at your house of abode state. There are very, very few exceptions - like the Kittery paying for and advertising placed up on the Maine/NH border that could sell to Maine, Mass, and NH citizens. Your basically answer is to have it shipped from an Illionois broking to a close-by broking close at your house of abode in Washington state. the different thoughts are unlawful

Because they are granted all the same basic rights as a citizen minus the right to vote. Most of them unless they came over as kids have had extensive background checks already. I believe they can even be drafted. I do know they can join the military.

U are a citizen technically when U redise in a place for more than a month. If U go......let's say to spain............... if you go to a town meeting that is only for citizens.........do you think they ask U...................are U a citizen? NO! TANTARAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its like in CAli residents still have to pay fome local fees which is only charged to the residenst of the area........... just cause one may not be an official citizen doesn't mean that the laws does not apply.

Because the constitution requires that any right that exists for the people in the constitution is also extended to the people that are within the borders of the US regardless of nationality.

Right to trial by jury, freedom of speech, freedom of religion... and the right to buy and carry.
