I don't even think the wings will win the first round! Even if you struggle through a first round series, a very rested San Jose will be waiting for you in round 2.

Seriously, the team is too soft and over confident. Play offs is very different than playing Chicago, Columbus and St Louis all year.

one million. i do no longer think of this twelve months. supply him a pair of greater years. returned, he has Scotty Bowman's legacy to handle in Detroit. merely save that for the period of recommendations. 2. Datsyuk already gained a Cup in his rookie season. however the Cup is helpful once you win it, so i assume so. 3. no longer for a pair greater years. he continues to be on the perfect of his pastime, why end on an identical time as you're going sturdy? 4. The NHL desires a lot of help. The video games are transforming into checklist visitors on VS, and perhaps some intense numbers on NBC on Saturday, however the NHL nonetheless has a lot of rebuilding to do. 5. i think of Howard would desire to income lots from Osgood, however the pink Wings have been spoiled by making use of having 2 sturdy (properly while Hasek became sturdy) goalies on their group, so as that they are going to be iffy despite if or no longer they bypass with Howards or somebody else. Heck i'd be sweating bullets if I observed Osgood get injured. 6. Copying under no circumstances works. 7. i think of Chelios desires to retire quickly. different than that, no longer many gamers this twelve months...with a bit of luck. 8. no longer something is ever specific...quite with the corridor of repute and activities. 9. Watch VS/NBC to ascertain. 10. i'm too overdue. I honestly have a feeling it is going to likely be a 4-2 sequence for the pink Wings.

I think the team has raised fan expectations too high with their regular season performance. There are many question marks about this team. Hasek is old and injury prone. Is Lidstrom really a leader? How will the young europeans perform through 4 rounds of the toughest hockey they will ever play?
I may be wrong but I doubt the Red Wings even make the final four.

Yes, I believe they could win the Cup this year.

The young guys are continuing to prove themselves and many of the veterans are performing as they should. As long as we have no major injuries and get some of our big scorers going (...that means you, Robert Lang...), we have a very good shot at the Cup Finals.

same team with a few new faces. The main suspects are still there: Zetterberg, Lindstrom, Datsyuk, Lang, Holmstrom, they always retool. Hasek was there before this year too!
