Etsy.com is awesome. It's a handmade-only site. It's not *completely* free but it is super inexpensive. Ebay is not cheap - the fees eat up most of the money you 'make'. Etsy is a bargain in comparison.

It's not an auction site, all items have a fixed price. It is free to sign up for your own shop, and listings cost only $.20 regardless of their value. The listings stay active for four months. Then, if you sell something, Etsy charges a 3.5% commission on the sale.

The site is very modern and clean, and has been gaining LOTS of attention, so there are lots and lots of people browsing the site and buying. Some people are making their living selling their crafts on Etsy alone.

I use the community board at Discount School Supply.com.

You can submit, share and view craft ideas submitted by teachers and parents. Also by submitting craft ideas you earn a chance to win a 100 gift certificate!

Checkout the links below.

I made my own at geocities, and then upgraded to a paid site as the money came in. I also used Ebay though, right at first.

Etsy is a friendly place but they don't advertise enough, so customers don't trust them yet. You end up selling to the other crafters who list there.
