So this person was telling me a story where she was doing some do-it-yourself hypnosis on somebody. They "patient" was telling how she was in a forest and there was a guy there and then she stopped talking and acted like she was chocking, and then she developed bruises around her neck.

This is why I don't recommend self-hypnosis, and definitely not hypnosis on other people if you are not trained. People who are trained in hypnosis spend a lot of time on dealing with the different situations that will arise. It's hard to say, by the little bit you've said, what happened. But whether people believe it or not, there is a lot out there we can't see, or don't want to see. She obviously didn't take precautions to protect herself and her "patient" from negative energy.

I've never heard of a case where something negative actually killed someone, but they can make a person very uncomfortable and effect their lives in very negative ways. Both of them may need a clearing.

As a health care provider I say here's the light: Question the validity of the situation first. However, there has been recorded episodes where people were told under hypnosis that thier arm was being touched with a hot iron when in reality it was a cold iron. The person developed blisters to the site on the arm. It was attributed to the mind's ability to influence the body. There are many documented and confirmed research situations that are simular.

So what is your question? Are you wondering if it was true? Try this: ask her to recreate the entire scenario with her hynotizing someone else (or the same person), but with you present. I'll bet you she suddenly can't do it again. If she can, then you'll know it works! Prepare to be less than impressed, though.

Get another person to see if they can get the same thing to happen, then call Ghost researchers if it happens.
