Looks like there are a heap of clouds over SA, but I don't know whether they will wind up over the Murray-Darling or not. Or whether or not they would be suitable for seeding if they do.

If you want to look further ahead than a week or so, then your guess is as good as mine.

Victoria and southwest NSW have a winter maximum rainfall. As it is only April, you would not expect these areas to have had much rain so far this year - and they haven't. Cloud seeding won't help. Cloud seeding does not necessarily produce more rain and if it does, only in areas where there are good clouds to start with. The Murray Darling catchment is not an ideal area for cloud seeding.

As we come into winter with the El Niño over, we should expect good rain in southern Australia. Don't panic yet.
