Everytime I go onto certain sites, I'll get on then it just closes my internet explorer and goes to my desktop. Sometime I get these annoying boxes that say internet explorer must close because it has encountered a problem. Now it comes on about half as much more. What can I do?

IE is notorious for doing that. Like someone else said it could be a Trojan worm or virus. It can also be your PC gets stuck in a feedback loop. Certain sites request/send data from/to your PC and if that data cannot be retrieved it'll crash. Possibly because of a firewall or antivirus program you may have. I recommend downloading Mozilla's Firefox and you'll rarely get that problem again. Say goodbye to IE; it's so unstable.

You could be infected. If you want to know for sure go to http://www.infectedornot.com and run a quick Nano Scan or the more complete Total Scan.

These are the latest Panda Software's mega-detection tools. You can try them for free at http://www.infectedornot.com as part of a new promotion from Panda.

I get that too, but only once every couple of weeks. It seems to do it only when I have a bunch of stuff running. It must be some sort of security thing. Since it doesn't happen to often I don't worry about it. Might even be a good thing.

It's a virus or Trojan etc. buy a Malawi protection software like Mcaphe and either delete or if it is a really bad virus quarantine it and it will go away.

After you've verified that your problem is not a virus, go to Add and Remove Programs and REPAIR your Internet Explorer.

Hope that helps!

First you need to make sure your computer is virus and spyware free. Do that first. Then make sure you have the latest Windows and IE patches from Microsoft. I'd also delete all those browser add-on toolbars you might have downloaded.

Either there is a virus/trojan on your system or there was and your explorer is corrupt.
