math was my shining area in college
I *know* about probability and expectation ...
gambling is fun when you win ...
(gambling usually is no fun)
I've seen the faces of defeated gamblers and
know about the destructive qualities of giving money to casinos
"the dream" of winning big gives people hope ...
almost always false-hope.

I don't gamble. I went into a casino once, got 20 dollars in quarters. Put about 2 dollars in the machine and won $150. I figured luck don't strike twice so I left. The problem is that people win once and they think they can do it again so they keep trying. They don't realize the odds always favor the casino. They would have better luck throwing their money in the ocean with the hopes that a chest full of pirates treasures will float by.

I like to gamble. I live in Wisconsin, the Indians (I know not p.c. term) have casinos here. I like to go play the slots. It's fun to perhaps increase your money. I never take more than I can afford to lose though. The most I've taken in was on my birthday, I took $50. We can usually play for 2-3 hours then have a nice dinner and go home. It's still cheaper than dinner and a movie.

Well winning of course-and of course rarely does that happen because if a jackpot is won more times then not its only getting back what you lost-but for me its just the thrill of hearing the machine ringing ringing ringing when a jackpot is hit especially these days when the noise they make is so cool...i will say i like the shopping in Nevada better though because i get things for my money-instead of donating as me and my cousin call it-donating but not to a good cause!

I too live in Nevada, and I've gambled for a living.
The thrill? How about winning money?
Isn't that thrilling enough?
I've found that it makes for a nice extra income when I've got a stready paycheck from a job as well.

I liked to gamble when I was pregnant, everytime I went to the casino I always left with atleast $200 but since I had my daughter I don't win anymore. I guess she was my good luck charm but I have to wait a while before I can bring her on the gaming floor again.

I'm not old enough to gamble where I live. I can join the military and pay taxes, but I'm a month away from being able to smoke and play slot machines and other more popular casino games.

I've been playing poker for about 40 years. I thought everyone did because where I grew up, and being raised Catholic, poker and drinking were standard events, especially at weddings and funerals. There's no thrill for me playing slot machines. I like the mental challenges of poker.

I love to gamble on the Internet. It doesn't cost me anything and it's fun.
I've been to a casino once and didn't spend a dime. I'm to afraid that I wouldn't know when to stop.
