no jobs in the U.S will ever be the same, the companies want to move out of this country for the cheaper labor in asia, mexico, china, etc. The name of the game is they all want to make more money at the employee's expense and want to give the company heads bigger bonuses, it all started with the NAFTA agreement that everyone wanted except the unions and they warned everyone what would happen and it has. TOO LATE NOW!

well i hate to say it but probably not. Many auto makers are losing $ due to the fuel situation. You can either pray like crazy that we find alt. fuel sources and MI adopts factories that are compatable or relocate to somewhere that has factories that are in good standing.
My family and I (husband and 2 kids) were forced to relocate last month to louisiana bcuz of this situation. he is a hot tar roofer and all of his companies jobs were: ford chrysler and gm roofs. well guess what.. they arent making $$ so they aren't getting roofs...he only worked 600 hours last year!! Thank god he is a journeyman roofer and was accepted into a union in Louisiana. it was very sad to leave my family and friends but at least now we can afford to pay our bills. Sorry if this is affecting you and your family but my advice is to leave the sinking ship before you drown

And in conjunction with mister, and amy:; because the doctors raise their rates, the attorneys raise their rates, this makes the schoolteachers raise their rates, which raises our taxes, and on and on, and on! Soon there will be such horrifiying gap between the rich and the poor that chaos will break out and another great civilization will collapse! No , I don't believe it will ever be the same again until after the collapse!!
