As a noun or a verb?
Noun:
There is poison in this well!
Verb:
Your cooking is going to poison me one day.
Edit: Um, infinitive is a perfectly valid form of a verb. The definition of "infinitive" is an uninflected form of the verb. It may be uninflected but it is still a verb. So how is my answer wrong?
