I mean come on. I have seen cars so terrible on pimp my ride, there is no way they could be legal to drive. Pimp my ride and trick my truck seem way too animated too. I think overhaulin might be the real deal though. Whats your opinions?

Yeah you've got a point when you said some cars are just to messed up to drive. Those kids probably just bought a car from the junk yard and applied for Pimp My Ride. I would rather walk than drive the cars those people drive on Pimp My Ride. Last week the black girl with that old black car on Pimp My Ride, Oh my God that car was a pile of junk!!!

Yeah but, the only car show that I think is real is Overhaulin. Pimp My Ride is way too animated. I wonder how can GAS afford to pimp out so many cars? I guess they can use it as a tax break, or MTV pays them to pimp out cars for good T.V.

I agree with you about pimp my ride, what a joke. I mean who is seriously going to put an Xbox, a fish tank and a boombox in the back seat of a car. I've never watched trick my truck, but I have watched overhaulin.
From what I heard overhaulin is a promotional thing. They fix up cars on the show to promote the work they do. It's almost like a long detailed commercial.

They sure throw a lot of money at the cosmetic aspect of the cars and trucks. Overhauling at least tries to make their end result drivable, I guess the flashy interiors draw the biggest audience.

From personal experience though, you can do a lot with a car if you don't mind spending the time and money. I resurrected an old muscle car, with 3 years of hard work, and a heavily used Visa card. There was not a lot spent on chrome...but chrome doesn't compare with the sound of a big block Mopar with the headers dumping into an exhaust system you can roll a tennis ball through.

I just hate the fact that they are willing to put $20,000 into a vehicle to pimp it out, and they won't even touch the motor on the POS.
