I am 7wks pregnant with headaches like crazy, minor cramps, and mood swings like I've never seen. I wanted to know would everything be ok if my first doctors appointment is June 1st. My insurance will just be kicking in then. My husbands got canceled. (Long story). I just want to make sure that the baby will be ok. Oh I just found out I was pregnant Monday.

You are absolutely, totally normal.
I had cramping too, and my mood swings were so bad it was like PMS times 1000!!!
In the meantime, just take your prenatal vitamins, take care of yourself, get plenty of rest, and remember that there are certain OTC drugs that aren't safe during pregnancy--Tylenol (acetaminophen) is considered safe, but avoid ibuprofen. If your headaches get so bad that even Tylenol doesn't help, call your doctor. That happened to my daughter (she's 14 wks preg) and they ended up having to prescribe her pain medication since Tylenol did nothing.

And finally, congratulations and best wishes for a healthy, happy pregnancy and a wonderful life for your new little family! :)

Wow. you sound like me! Just found out I am about 7 weeks, and this is my second but holy crap I'm having the CRAZIEST mood swings ever! As soon as insurance kicks in I will for sure see a Dr. until then we will get by knowing someone else is going through the same thing at the same time!!!

Good Luck :)

Yes you should be fine just keep taking the prenatal pills being pregnant is not really a medical condition. The first visit is at about 8 weeks but really all they do is measure to have a better idea of how far along and to give you a due date. Just stay away from the bad stuff like alcohol, cigarette smoke and all of the other stuff I am sure you have already looked up on-line.

NO,no,no. If you don't have the money then go to a free clinic until insurance kicks in.You need bloodwork, an exam, and prenatal vitamins and iron at the very least. There are many complications that are not obvious. Yes, pregnancy is a 'natural' process and people survived it without medical care, BUT one out of five women died in childbirth, and the babies didn't do much better [this is not counting non-lethal complications like permanent incontinence.]
I have worked in L&D for many years, and people who neglected their prenatal care frequently regret it.
