Most of the production shows in Vegas these days run about $90 to $100. I recommend the show at Ballys, Jubilee. Its a girlie show but very colorful and they do have a top covered version for families at about 7:00 PM. Another show that I saw that was good is at the MGM and its called "KA".
I suggest that you go online and make reservations for your show ahead of time as they do sell out and usually one day a week, like maybe Monday, the theater is dark, no show.
If you want to wait until you get to Vegas there are two other options for getting tickets. One, there are discount ticket offices, one near the MGM where the Coke World is and the other near Treasure Island Hotel, across from the Wynn Hotel, in the Fashion show Mall. They offer last minute half-priced ticket. But you may not be able to get tickets for the favorites.
The other option for show tickets is go to a time share presentation and they will generally offer you free show tickets. The time share folks will be all over you in most of the hotels trying to get you to go look. Don't worry about finding them as they will find you if you go as a couple.

You aren't going to see a Cirque show for less than $65 per ticket. BUT spend the $150, get good seats, and see "O" - no way, no how will you regret it. My wife 'dragged' me to it, I was reluctant to watch anything that didn't have a score or time clock, but it was one of the most entertaining, enthralling things I've ever seen. It ws months ago and I still think about it.
