like everyone said, go online to the playstation store and get free demos and some games. blast factor is fun. its kind of like asteroids but with better visuals. the best game by far is resistance. i bought it in a bundle with my ps3, i dont like first person shooters, but i have to say, i love that game. motorstorm is very fun also, but its a lot more fun if you go online to play. as far as taking care of it, i usually wipe it with my lcd cleaner cloth and i vacume the vents out. the ps3 is built very well though. i have had it running for days straight with no problems. its quiet and dont get too hot. just take care of it. after you start figuring out what it is capable of doing, you will enjoy it more. congrats on getting it, i am sure you will love it. i do.

Go to the Sony Online Store and download Gran Turismo HD for free. You can also download other game demos, but last time I checked, about a month or so ago, the demos weren't all that impressive.
The best games to get for the PS3 right now are: Resistance: Fall of Man, Motor Storm, Virtua Fighter 5, Fight Night Round 3, Oblivion.

If you have a broadband or dsl connection, you can go to the Playstation Store and download free demos, and buy other playable games. To make the system last longer, I would vaccum the vents of the PS3 once a month with a low powered vaccum. Also, if you have the 60GB version you can access the internet wirelessly. I bought Motorstorm, and Resistance Fall of Man. They are the 2 best games right now for the PS3 in my opinion.

No, you could no longer, they are diverse machines. A PSP is a PSP, and a PS3 is extremely greater useful, this is going to be a protracted time till now some thing with the capacity of PS3 would desire to be made the dimensions of the PSP. Given the dimensions of any transportable reveal, it may no longer likely be mandatory besides:)
