As soon as you start menstruating, you can take birth control. I started a few months after when I was only 12 due to severe cramps. Other than that, normally you would start once you become sexually active.

You should be old enough to accept the responsibility of having children. No birth control is 100% effective.

Some girls start at age 16, sometimes younger, like around 14 or 15. In this case the girl usually has a medical problem. It will also depend on your parents and maybe what the State says as well. I would recommend double checking with your dr on this to be on the safe side.

I don't know that there is an age, I would assume you could start taking it once you get your 1st period...I know some girls that aren't "active" that take it to have a regular "flow"

if ur under the age of 18 you have to have a parent with u sorry... but i would have to say as soon as you get ur period...but please keep ur pants on... we dont need any more young parents
