HELP, there's a rumor going around that there will be a school shooting tomorrow- at MY SCHOOL!!!?

This is NOT a joke, and I'm not trying to make fun of the Virginia Tech shootings because I am dead serious.
There's been a rumor going around that there will be a school shooting tomorrow at my high school, and the security denies it but they've posted a few exta policepeople around.
A gun shop in my town was robbed a few days ago, and a car was pulled over with a guy in it that had papers that had my high school's floor plan on them. Also, a town only about 10 miles away went into lockdown because a guy had been spotted on the premises carrying a gun.
This is NOT a joke, and I'm really worried about this because some people have to be at school tomorrow for state sports and I'm freaked out that this might be the next Collumbine, which makes it even weirder since Collumbine's anniversary is tomorrow. I'm scared....several people have already called the police about this to ask for more security but I don't know if that's enough.

if not i suggest you do. that way you know that you did something that might prevent something terrible from happening.

if your really that uncomfortable ask your parents if you can stay home. they might let you if your really that scared.

I would do two things:

1. Call the police and tell them what you know.
2. Stay home from school. Discuss it with your parents and I'm sure they'll understand.

It's such a sad state of affairs when this is what it's come down to. Kids scared to go to school. It's awful.

It's probably just a rumor that's scaring the younger ones. That was so not considerate by the person who spread that.
All of the sightings are probably fake, too. If those did happen, letters would have been sent out.

If not tomorrow will you think its over? They may have caught the guy with the pull over. Staying home is a 50/50 chance for one day only.

Apparently someone thought it was either funny or cool to spread a rumor about that because of what happened at Virgina Tech,I wouldn't take much heed to it but just keep yourself aware about things you hear and go to someone in authority if it worries you.

seriously dont worry about it every school has those on 4-20 just forget about it.. i know of 4 schools that got those already just dumb kids starting dumb rumors to scare kids

if the police already know then there really isn't much you can do. the only thing I can think of is to stay home from school.
