Not fully. After something like that, a part of your respect and trust for them is gone. At most you could be polite to each other. People seem to think that sincere sorries mend all ties. There will always be lingering pain and anger in your heart. its not a good idea to try to restore it either, it would only make things awkward when you realize you cant. Forgive and forget, thats all you can do. Consider this the peace after war, and stick with it. You may find yourself regreting giving up the friendship, and it is regretful. Its just something you had to do. Time will heal you. Best wishes.

Sorry to tell you but you were never friends to begin with. He never wanted to be your friend, just your boyfriend. So there isn't any thing to restore. Guys generally want nothing to do with the ex unless they are horny.
