To be a 'writer' you should know something to write about.
I suggest becoming SOMETHING, and then add writing to it.

ANY including community colleges and online.
colleges do not make writers. no Ivy is guaranteed to be better than just you putting words down on paper and learning from yourself.
on the other hand, postgraduate workshops like Iowa can be helpful...

practice at your house and write in a coffee shop, like JK Rowling, and look where she is........Decide young league, if you want the money or the degree.........caution the success rate is very low writing a home to become rich
