As a general rule, if you can ride a bicycle and can drive a car with a manual transmission, you have enough coordination to ride a motorcycle. The steering works just like a bicycle, except a motorcycle is so large and heavy you will have to think about what you are doing - and sometimes you'll find that the motions you have been making unconsciously are not the ones you think you've been doing.
I'd recommend taking professional lessons if you want to learn. There are several different providers, such as the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, some government organizations, Harley Rider's Edge, and more. Usually the office that issues your driver's license will have a list of approved motorcycle classes.

riding a bike is all about balance and coordenation. somebody that is uncoordenated cannot learn easily. it would take them longer. first you have to try to keep yourself bananced so stand on one foot and hop. then get on the bike and peddle.

put on a helmet start bike by holding clutch lever in thats the one on the left. make sure it's in neutral once bike is started shift into 1st gear rev throttle slightly and ease off the clutch when you get up to about 25-30mph engage clutch andshift into 2nd release clutch throttle up continue on to about 45mph do the same as before and shift into 3rd get to about 50 shift into 4th then 5th to low down engage clutch let off throttle downshift one gear at a time applying brakes one located on the right foot the other on the right hand grip easy on this one familiarize yourself with the controls by practicing in a vacant parking lot once you feel comfortable with them you shouldn,t have any problems.

you change into your biking clothes, go on the computer, log off of Yahoo and then sit down on your bicycle.

Yeah, like it's been said, take a beginner course, don't try to teach yourself. Or you'll die. Seriously.
No really, I mean it, you'll die. Take the MSF or one of the other approved courses.
