my sister just got spacers
its been 3 day
she says they still really hurt
but she refeouses to talk to take meds for the pain bc she thinks she doest weight enough or she has to eat b4 she takes meds. so now she doesnt really eat bc she says it hurts and she was talking alot to her bff about exersicing and losing weight and was wondering does spacers in make you lose weight . but my sis is already preety thin . and i was like take out a spacer and eat and shes like NO. so is she purposly not talking meds so she will have pain and not eatt ??? helpp !!

You need to talk to your mom about the concern about your sister being in pain, and then they need to talk to the dr about this.

Leaving pain untreated for a long time can actually do a lot of harm to the body, especially the nerves regardless of what is causing the pain.

That's possible. Tell her to take tylenol or acetaminphine. You can take that on an empty stomach and it won't make you sick. If she still won't do that and won't eat, you should talk with her about it. Choose a time when the two of you won't be interupted and a place where you both feel safe (her bedroom while your parents and siblings and everyone is gone, for example) and ask her if she is doing this to lose weight and if she thinks she needs to lose weight.

Tell your parents. No one can force her to do it for her and if she isn't eating she is going to do more harm than good

it sounds like it=maybe you and your sister should have a talk with Mom about it
