yeah true but he sure holds more confidence than any other 17? year old...besides Jordan Sparks, who also has talent. Unfortunately without Sanjaya the program becomes a little dull. Sanjaya is unique and has a special quality in him that is of a higher level than your average person. The other contestants are a bit drab. Although Sanjaya's voice wasn't spectacular, his personality is by far (and even he himself realizes this)..that's why he stuck around for so long. So diss him if you will but he is unique, individual and genuine and he really did make a positive impact on the show.

Sanjaya was trying to entertain us, not win the contest as the best singer. He did show improvement, and he did go out in style - he did a good job on the reprise of his last song. But it is nice that the votes will, hopefully, now go to those who deserve them. His departure does indicate that Howard Stern and his "vote for the worst" followers are not the men they claim to be - no staying power! LOL

Umm OK. I don't really watch the show, But i liked the fact that he didn't follow the leader. He was his own person.
