Glorifying the survivors? For surviving? It's our most basic instinct---something we share with every animal on earth.
As far as him---they aren't glorifying him; they're vilifying him

I'm not sure the media glorifies the bad man so much as uses him to promote commercial products. I noticed a disturbing trend over the past year. It seems like the majority of commercials (adverts for Brits who might read this) on TV are insulting to the watcher or potential customer. Why is that? A perfect example of this is the "Head On" commercials. They are entirely annoying, but they expect you to buy their product anyway.
Back to your question - The movies tend to glorify bed men or women who turn a new leaf and become redeemed, or at least a bit better, in the end. The original appeal of "bad" probably rests in our reptillian brain canter responsible for aggression, the amygdala. This process bypasses our better attention and the movie or the commercial has succeeded in getting our attention. This is a very sneaky business, much like subliminal advertising, which I believe is illegal these days.

I have certainly seen a lot about the survivors. I dont think the media should glorify anyone actually. They give the public what they want. And the public wants to see that pig's manifesto, video, and pictures. Someone will be on here later, or maybe already, saying why arent they showing it more, or in its entirety.

I've seen CNN and other news agencies distribute photos and information on the deceased, the survivors, and the families affected, so there is some good glorification going on. But I agree that airing the video of the killer repeatedly is in bad taste.

I don't know if you mean survivors (why do they even deserve a mention?) or victims. Either way, what exactly did they do besides get shot at? This doesn't make them heroic, just unlucky and in the wrong place at the wrong time. The shooter, on the other hand, SHOULD be the focus of attention, in order to understand why this happened. Stop whining.

Because this society, the way folks are presently, they love to see what is evil carnal because mostly it's strange to them, but the more you watch it, the more you become like it, or immunied to it. Many folks are used to seeing what is not of the norm in their families or what may reflect certain aspects of their home life. Pretty much, it's a cesspool anywhere, anyhow...be careful.
It will be a sad time in this system when folks become numb to everything around them. This means Satan has won....has he???

Because the media want people's attention, that's how they get their $$. And most people get off on seeing the negative, "bad" things. It's a sad, sad, world we live in.
