Well, it is only unsubstantial things they cannot remember, like firing the most important law enforcement officials in the federal government, or committing treason, or vowing to capture the person responsible for the worst terrorist attack ever on US soil. You know, it's hard to remember little stuff like that.

This problem crosses party line depending on who is asking the question of whom. But most folks I know find it difficult to remember what they did last week much less then six months ago. And these officials have a whole lot more on their plate then most of us. We expect super human results from mere mortals and can't figure out why things don't work out like we think they should. Referring to the Attorney General controversy, this is a plain political move by the left as they know full well that these attorneys in question serve at the pleasure of the executive branch and that Congress really doesn't have a dog in this fight. Never has under any administration.

"One thing is sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at the moment... If it doesn't turn out right, we can modify it as we go along."-Franklin D. Roosevelt "Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything." - Harry S. Truman. "It is a fearful thing to lead this great peaceful people into war, into the most terrible and disastrous of all wars, civilization itself seeming to be in the balance. But the right is more precious than peace, and we shall fight for the things we have always carried closest to our hearts." -Woodrow Wilson "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty. "-John F. Kennedy "Sadly many Americans hold political posturing in higher regard than the cry of voices yearning for freedom" -me It never ceases to amaze me that so many are so wholly invested in our defeat in the War on Terror that they do not stop to consider what will happen if we loose.

if only Clinton had said... "I don't recall having sexual relations with that girl"... we could be living in a different world...

Republicans realized in the 80s that they could pretty much do anything... as long as they made sure anyone who got caught said "der... I don't remember?"

I can't remember...... but only because the number is so incredibly high. And obviously they are being less than truthful.. but this administration feels they only need to answer to themselves.

Politicians are perfectionists at the art of the lie. They do not tell lies, they lead you to believe other parts of the story.
