Yes, I do treat my dog like a baby. He thinks he's one too. What is the point in having a pet if you don't love them and spoil them? I need to add that I don't dress him up. My little dog brings me a lot of joy and has proven to be a better friend than most people. If you had asked me the same question before I got him, I would have agreed with you.

oh yeah...dogs have no idea why some people DO NOT consider them a part of the family...dogs are pack animals...they think the family they live with are all one happy pack...you're the only pack (family) they know....it must be very confusing for those dogs that are "pushed' out of that pack...lighten up...is it so hard, to let him be a part of "your" family??? an animal that only wants to love you.......how hard can that be....no, it is not human...but when you look at your dog...does it not look, to you, that it wants to be a part of the family???...I'm just saying...what would it hurt.

I don't know as i consider my pet as a child but i sure love him alot he is one of the family for sure

They are pets...well-loved, over spoiled pets, but pets nonetheless. I do not dress them up and they don't sleep with me. However, I like them better than I do most people.
