my little brother (3) was just riding on this little scotter thing that you sit on well i was watching him and he just crashed on the side of the side walk were bushes are and tumbled on the side walk.I just brought him in side he got a bloody nose and skrached his lip and face (his face is not a bad scrash) i sat him down on the couch and let him wach tv well i cleaned and bandeged his scrap and iced his lip .He is better but his lip is swolen up is this ok and will it go away soon?Is there anyway to help ???????(sorry bot the spelln in a rush!!!)

Sounds l like you did exactly the right things. His lip may need several days to go down in swelling. Just keep some ice on it for the first 48 hours to help the swelling.

Kids are tough, i used to work in a daycare and we had a bike area for our 2 year olds. Believe me ive seen many scrapes and bruises and bumps. If your brother doesnt want to keep ice on it, like a lot of kids, try giving him a popsicle or someting else frozen that he would like to eat. Even a frozen waffle or something. It will keep him occupied and keep his mind off of the fact that he got hurt, as well as help to keep the swelling down. Unless he's bleeding, he'll be fine.

It will be swollen for a while. Just keep putting ice on it.
