i was just calling my friend and then suddenly someonelse just joins in, it was very annoying and she started to talking it wasn't very clear but it was very annoying so i asked her to hang up but she got mad and said"u want me to call the police for something?" so then i hung up and asked my to to call me back, but she was still there. What is this? How can i stop her from listening in on my calls?

It could have been an electronic malfunction or something like a party line. Do they still have party lines anymore? I thought they went out years ago.
If it happens again, then call your local phone service and file a complaint. They will send someone out to check your lines. good luck

It sounds like a phone company problem -- maybe lines were crossed? The first step I would make is to talk to your phone company.

Land lines are the safest phones. Cell phones and digital phones are no longer private.

was it raining or very damp out . phone lines get wet and calls could get mixed together
