Beating your kids/wife is NEVER ok. A spanking for the kids if they are bad is ok as a punishment but not a beating and there should be no reason for anyone to hit their wife at all.

Are you trying to ask "is physical discipline okay?"
because that would be a much better way to ask. Then you wouldn't get so many angry answers. Think carefully about the words you are using, and re post the question.

Only if they have done something wrong and need slightly disciplined, like a child being spanked, and thats it, hitting ur wife is wrong on all levels, unless she is coming after u with a butchers knife

That is so absurd. There is no such thing as a beating out of love. That is just... my goodness... you have totally reached the boundaries of acceptable.
