I wanted to use frogs as live fishing bait, and I wanted them to be fresh so I froze them in the freezer. I thawed them out about 20 minutes ago but they still havent woke up yet, Does anybody know a way to wake them up fast, or do i have to wait until summer?

LMAO! That's too funny. How exactly did you thaw them out? I got a funny feeling you need to find new frogs. If you would have used Gladware, you would always have fresh frogs, but if you used Ziplock bags, then you're in trouble. See, ziplock doesn't lock in that fresh from the pond frog flavor.

I work with a guy who's obsessed with frogs and fishing. That's all he talks about is fishing this and fishing that. I can give you his email if you'd like, and you can ask him about your frogs. Emil me.

Actually, only one species of frog can freeze solid during the winter and thaw out and hop away, so unless you're in Alaska, you have the wrong frogs for that. Next time, collect only the bait you will use and release the beneficial wildlife back into it's habitat and there will be frogs for you when you need them.

Or just go buy some frog lures. I'm finally starting to get the idea with this whole fishing with lures thing.....

Dump the frogs. If you froze them without water, they "freeze dried" and are dried out. If you froze them immersed in water
their cells were damaged and they had no oxygen at all (suffocated). Frogs survive freezing in nature by burying themselves, excreting a mucous envelope that protected them. Sorry. michael

They are aware that you were not ready to fish that was why you froze them. Now it is pay back time. You just have to take heart but when next you feel like fishing, go for acceptable baits.

When living things are frozen they die. That's why frogs hibernate, to avoid being frozen. If you wanted fresh frogs you should have kept them fresh by keeping them alive....you know, feeding them and keeping their environment suitable for life.

You killed them I think. Stupid idea that only works when frogs are in the wild.
