Hi I started my period 4 days later than I expected on April 1st but I was freaking out b/c I thought I could be pregnant. Before that day I had taken 5 pregnancy tests and they all came out negative. I had all the normal symptoms to my period and my period lasted 5-6 days like it always does but it was slightly lighter than usual. A few days ago I started to notice brownish discharge when I wiped and I've heard of implantation bleeding. If I was pregnant I would be almost 5 weeks so I out of precaution I took another hpt and it was negative. Is it still possible I am pregnant if I'm not experiencing any other symptoms and had a pretty normal period??

Why waste 5 pts on this question when you can waste 10 bucks and go get yourself a pregnancy test. We are human and we cannot see into your body to see if you are pregnant........

I wouldn't ask if you were pregnant on Yahoo! Answers. Everyone is going to suggest you take a pregnancy test because it's possible.

My suggestion is to e-mail planned parenthood. When I asked on here the couple of times I thought I was pregnant or read other answers to similar questions, I freaked out and caused myself unnecessary stress.

Now, I don't think your pregnant. Every period tends to be different. Maybe it seemed lighter because you were stressed out because you were worried about whether you might be pregnant or not. Maybe you were more active than usual that month. Who knows?

Next time, use a condom and get on birth control. Or if you're so worried, don't have sex. Believe me, it will save you a ton of stress.

Sounds like you aren't pregnant to me. To take that many hpt and come up negative seems like a pretty clear sign. Your body just seems to be discharging last minute menstrual blood as far as the brown goes. If you are really concern then get to a clinic and get a blood test done to be sure. Good luck.

Go see a OB/GYN If you are pregnant your HCG level may not be high enough for a hpt to detect. Or you period could be changing due to stress, birth control, another female in the house, a medical problem. It could be anything.

Yep. The embryo needs to implant for your body to start letting of the HcG hormone and it may take a few days for the HCG levels to get high enough to come out + on the HTP test. Give it a day or so and test again.
good luck.

it don't sound to me like your preg, the same thing happend to me as far as the discharge, but my period only lasted 2 days. and i took hpt and blodd test and all were neg. you could be changeing your cycle, or you could just be under a lot of stress, and exercize, all of these could cause you to be late.

And if you were 5 weeks preg a hpt would tell it for sure. but if your very concernd you could take a blodd test.

You probably aren't pregnant then. Being late can be caused by many numerous things and brownish discharge probably means that it is old blood which probably hadn't worked its way completely out yet.

It is very unlikely. You had your period. What you are experiencing now is just some spotting from what is left. But if your unsure go and see a dr.

If you had your period I'd say you weren't. Although you mentioned that is wasn't as normal.
I'd say go for a blood test. You may be pregnant and it isn't showing up.
Good luck.
