Green Lantern and Green Arrow, in their classic 1960’s team up. It was the first comic in many years to be refused the Comics Code approval seal, because they were portraying drug use and the dangers of it. It woke a lot of comics readers up as to the risks of drugs, and it was the first in along line of ‘socially relevant’ comics. If not for the GL/GA series, the X-Men would probably never have been accepted with their pseudo ‘civil rights’ theme. The side effects roll down through the years. The GL/GA teamup was controversial, influential, and great classic stories.
