has anyone ever seen the movie rent? because nobody these days watch that kind of stuff. and if you've seen rent do you like it cuz i do?!?!

I was extremely into RENT. I saw the play about 10 yrs ago and loved it. We blasted the cd all the time and when I was in college (around 00-01) we used to play it during all the parties.
An ex boyfriend and I did performances of Light My Candle and we'd see who in the group could sing the most words of La Vie Boheme.
It was great. I enjoyed the movie as well but it is not nearly as good as the show. No where near. But you are right--I am a huge broadway fan and no one these days watches that kind of stuff.
If you love RENT, go see STOMP. It's great!

I only watched that movie for the first time the day after the 2006 Christmas. I've loved it ever since! I bought the movie the day after and I got the soundtrack to both the OBC and the movie. I actually saw the musical on stage a little while ago. It was amazing. I couldn't believe it. All I want to do know is watch it again and again.
Ya. Call me obsessed.
And I even got a t-shirt that says RENT on it.
That musical is my life.
Except for the fact that...

So ok maybe it's not my life....

Rent was way better on stage. They took out so many good songs for the movie, shortened a couple, etc. Movie was still good though, and I love Rosario and the woman who played Joanne.
