Guitar is really good, but lots of musical instruments are fun.
If you can already play guitar, you can very easily play the ukulele and you'll find that all the songs you got bored playing on guitar get fun again. If you try the BARITONE ukulele it is even more guitar-like than like a ukulele, because it is tuned in the same pitch as a guitar, and doesn't have the odd re-entrant tuning that most regular (soprano and tenor) ukuleles have. Re-entrant tuning just means that the top string is not the lowest in pitch, wich is a little odd if. you're used to guitar. Tenor, soprano, and concert ukes are higher pitched than guitars, so a guitarist that tries those has to learn that say the familiar D chord on the guitar would be a G chord on a (soprano) ukulele. On baritone ukulele the D chord is the same as the guitar. I personally would much rather play the baritone ukulele while camping than one of those backpacker guitars they sell. Nylon strings on ukuleles sound almost electric when you playthem right. You might ask, but it only has four strings and a short scale length? I'd say, yep, but it's not a hinderance, you'll learn a greater understanding of the relationship between chords, music theory, and many new tricks that will help you accomplish more on guitar!

What? You say ukuleles are not cool like guitar, I say oh yeah? Check out these video of Taimane the Diamond of Waikiki on youtube.com http://youtube.com/results?search=related&search_query=Taimane%20Japan%20Gauchosalta%20ukulele%20hawaii&v=9s5QBEZ9Q2g

There are lots of great instruments, you just have to be a better musician. Guitars, ukuleles, drums, basses, keyboards, saxophone, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, violin, ....whatever, play one or play all. All great!

Yeah, I do. were given a white Epi Les Paul custom stated as Franklin, yet another Les Paul (a black one) stated as Betty and this truly previous 60s guitar I call Willy. i'm planning to get 26 guitars and performance one named after each and each letter contained in the alphabet. Cool theory? and exquisite guitar you obtain there, mate. Loving the P90s; is that a restricted run? An i'm kinda feeling Ricky for that guitar.

I am a guitar player and I fully appreciate the instrument. I play a number of instruments, most of them stringed, but guitar is my number one choice. And yes I do love my guitars (I love my other instruments as well, of course!). A true musician, I believe, not only loves music, but the instrument he/she plays. A true musician will devote time and dedication to mastering the instrument(s) he/she chooses to play because music is a language; in order to be able to express yourself through music, you must master the techniques used to express it. In order to put that much effort into an instrument, you must truly love it.

I love my dad's guitar. He doesn't know it, but I am trying to teach myself to play the guitar, and after I get goodish, I will teach myself to play my brother's bass (even though it is pink). I want to play at least 4 instruments. I already can play 2, the Violin and Viola. Maybe I should learn to play a bit of piano, too.

I love drums too. But I am not very good with rythem.
