the speed depends on how your car is geared.... but basicaly you have it right.... it is basicaly opposite of upshifting.... if you are in 4th geat, you want the motor to be running the same sepped when you doenshift from 4th as it would be when you first put it in 4th from 3rd...... ect. in general terms you want your car to opperate in the 15-4000 rpm level but read your owners manual., and when you let the clutch ouot when you downshift do it slowly so it doesnt jerk

You can clutch and brake at the same time while down shifting. Do this while entering the curve, letting go of the clutch and then the brake. I do all this by sound and so should you. Don't watch the tach as it takes your eyes from the road.
You should already be in 3rd gear before coming close to the curve, downshifting from 3rd to 2nd as you enter. However you can just as easily downshift from 4th to 2nd too. This will allow you to accelerate out of the curve at the best speed.

You are putting too time and effort into this. To slow, hit the brakes and when you get a little slower push in the clutch and hold it down. Make your turn and put it in second and let out on the clutch and accelerate until you shift into third, then fourth and go on.

Gah...that is WAAAAYY to much thinking!!
Just push in the clutch...brake to the speed you desire...shift to an appropriate gear for your speed when you are ready to continue driving...give er the gas.
Sheesh.
As for 2nd gear. It totally depends on the car. Anywhere from DEAD stop (yes you can start out in second in most vehicles - particularly high performance) to up to 100 miles an hour depending on number of gears and type of vehicle.

When you are slowing down use your brakes to adjust your speed then select the correct the correct gear for your new speed, this gives you more control over the vehicle, you may be over cocentrating on your rev counter. If you are doing 25 mph and still in 2nd then you are over revving.

Don't bother downshifting from 4th to 3rd to 2nd... Press the clutch and slow with your brakes, then put it in 2nd when you're done turning.

depends on car and type of tranny but in most cases you use third gear because if u use second u will have too much compression on the engine giving u less handling more power and less braking versus using third having less compression and more handling and brake. but truth is depends on car type clutch [stage] and tranny.

Sounds basically correct. Just remember to up or down shift smoothly, with minimum stress on the car.
