It seems the sound is so loud! Some people with hearing problems say it makes their ears hurt so they refuse to go to movies.

Maybe to make ya feel like you're part of the movie.

I have a friend who uses ear plugs when she goes to the movies. Have you tried something like that?

Maybe it's to drown out the morons who try to talk through the whole movie LOL. Seriously I have never thought that movie theaters have the sound too loud. Sometimes some of the really big special effects sound a bit too loud but other than that I've never had a problem with the volume of sound in a theater.

Because if its to quiet only some people can hear it, and when its load everybody can hear it unless there deaf, which therefore should go into a movie with closed captions. I know this cuase i have a friend who owns a movie theater.

Becuase most people, including me, have a bad sound system at home. I will put it this way, my speakers have wood paneling, how good could they be. In america, bigger is better when it's not in your house. So we want to hear the violence for action and horror movies. They should tun it down for comedies and romance though.

Because the movie soundtrack is recorded at a certain level and played back at a certain level when mixed and played back. Then, its played back at the same level, which is reference level, a level of volume that the filmmaker wants his film to be played.

Because most people like to have it loud or else they would all quit going to the theatres I suppose. I personally don't think its too loud.
