I found a baby mouse this morning in my laundry room, and I put him in my hamsters old cage (it's very small, I put my hamster in it when I changed his big cage)anyway, I get home and he's laying down. I've been feeding him soy milk from a syringe. Once in awile he'll go on his back and his legs will go stuff, then after a few seconds he'll start kicking around the air. after that he'll just lay on his stomach. He can't walk properly, it's almost like his legs are numb, he'll try and drag himself around, other then that he doesn't move at all. Is he having the seizures? Is he just sick? Or is he just to young to move properly? He has fur, but his eyes are hardly opend. Any help would be apreciated! thanks!

Aww, poor thing.I would definitly call the vet and ask because I wouldnt release he/she in the wild without knowing he/she will be ok. So my only advice is to call a vet and see what they say.

Doesn't sound good. I don't think a mouse would last 5 minutes if it had had a seizure, they're very vulnerable when they have serious illnesses, I don't think they could cope with something like this.

It sounds like the mouse is just very ill. If he has proper fur, I think his eyes should be open by now, so the fact that they are closed may also be a bad sign.

Keep the mouse warm by putting a heat pad or hot water bottle UNDER the cage. Give it lots of bedding and constant access to water. Keep syringe feeding it if you can. It would probably help to take him to a vet - they could give you some meds for you to help him with, and perhaps some proper recovery food for you to use, it would be very inexpensive. Keep trying with mousy, but I don't want you to get your hopes up I'm afraid.

First off that is sad :( Yeah, I might sound corny but I love all animals. There could be many reasons for this. He was probably abandoned by his family and hasn't eaten properly. Also mice do ALOT of incessed breeding. That is why alot of times when you even buy them from a store they do not make it very long. Alot of their poor bodies are full of cysts and tumors. Especially from a pet store. Another unfortunate incident could have been his mother might have encountered some poison of sort and then fed the babies, that will cause this as well. The best thing for any animal to drink would be milk you can purchase from any pet store. It can be called "Mothers helper" you can use cat milk, puppy milk replacements or any other replacement milk product. you can either use a syringe or tiny bottle. If you are looking to spend money on this animal I mean.

first of all stop the soy milk and get the formula from the vet or pet store that is meant for them. they can't handle anything but the proper formula at its age. it sounds like a seizure to me and the soy milk could be causing them. if they don't stop after about two weeks off the soy then take it to the vet.

Its not a pet, its some house vermin you found
are you crazy ! It could have fleas carrying the bubonic plague into your house
Make a snakes day !
he is obviously sick give him to a snake and put him out of his misery he is probably diseased
he may have rabies
Or if you are low on funds take it to and animal shelter
They have vets,.....maybe they can give your mouse adequate medical attention and adopt him out LOL
Omg
Think of how'd ridiculous you would look
Get it ! Your not seeing things clearly flush it down cuz its brown honey and sanitize the cage
Your giving it soy milk,.its not used to healthy food
Your killing it
Go outside to the trash and get it something its use too

If this doesnt work take it to a private small animal hospital and admit it in for 24 observation
as it maybe someone lost baby mouse
You could post picture of this mouse around the neighborhood

If all else fails have it checked for a microchip this mouse be on the national registry
Really how old are u ? I dont mean to sound mean but its not a pet, its sick for a reason get it out of your house
