Don't you think they feel as devastated as the victims' families, or even worst knowing that his son was the perpetrator of all the masacre?

Yes, my prayers go out to his family as well. Not only did they lose their son, but now they have to deal with the guilt of the other murders as well -- surely they must battling thoughts of "How could I have prevented this?" or "What could I have done differently?"

Just another sad example of how we are not the only ones who face the consequences of our actions.

I feel sorry for all families of the victims as well as for Cho's parents. They are also victims of this massacre, they have to live in the shadow shame and disgrace that their son is responsible for. I don't know how this compares to the loss of a loved one, but in many ways there burden was forced upon them by a son that really should have never been born.

I do feel bad for them. He has a sister in college and I cant image how people are treating her. I think thats why we dont see his parents on the news, Think of all the death threatss the family would get. I heard the owner of the gun store on the news and he said that he has gotten about 200 hundred death threats and he had to shut his website down....and its not like he sold the guns illegally he did everything he was suppose to do. So if they are threating him think of what they would do to the parents. Also I feel sorry because they probably have so much guilt and dont understand what they did wrong. Im sure they are getting blamed for a lot of or all of it. And even though he was wrong and he has caused a lot of hurt but regardless of what he did that was still there son so not only are they dealing with what he did but there are morning the lost of the son......Im know that they have there special times with him and they are probably lost in all kinds of emotion

for the people who are saying that his family new he had a problem I think if you really think about it doesn matter if they new he had a problem or not......he was 23 years old if they felt something was wrong with him there was nothing the could do about it, he was able to choose if he wanted people....just something to think about

If Cho's family didn't know that Cho had a mental illness, then I would feel very sorry for them.

But if they knew that he had an illness and decided to ignore it, then that would make me feel a little different. I agree with what Diane said above me. If Cho's family are supportive and if the family members are close to each other, then they could have done something to help him.

It is extremely difficult to answer that one. I have thought about his family too. I think they MUST have known he had a problem. From the description of him he was very weird and abnormal acting. Who is to say that his family shouldn't have forced professional help on him?

I would think they would have to feel worse than the families of the victims. If they are normal they would feel worse and also feel many other emotions that the victim's families would not feel. They lost their entire world that day. I cannot imagine how you could accept that in your mind if you were his parents.

It will be interesting when they come out and say something.

You know how you feel when your child, at the age of 3 or 4 hits a preschool mate. You probably would not even be able to understand their feelings THEIR SON MASSACRED all those young people, how sad for ALL the families. I think that it a sad sad situation! It is the end of times......read your bible its scary for those of you not saved. Come to know God! And please pray for all of the families. I am not even going to try to understand why! So Tom Cruse think mental health is not real then explain this!!!!!!!!!! I think it was beyond a "bad day" for Cho!

I am sure, that the parents are sickened by what their son has done, first because they are immigrants in our country, and I am sure they are more than embarrassed, because we let them into our country on good faith, and their son commits the worst crime in the U.S. They knew he had a mental problem, and did not know what to do. They now have to live with this everyday of their lives. What a horrible thing that has happened at VT. Even living here in Hawaii, we have all felt , the pain of our country, and those students of VT. Everytime I see the kids faces, it brings a tear to my eyes, because this should have never happened.

I think they feel like that because i mean it was their son their flesh and blood. I mean they did lose someone too. Their going to be upset for a long time i mean i would if i knew my son did something like this. On the other hand if they were a close knit family they should have seen signs or something telling them something wasnt right with this guy.

I feel sorry for everyone affected by what happened, even Cho himself. His family is probably suffering terribly and I hope they are allowed to grieve in peace.

I think they feel more devastation because they have to live with the fact knowing that their son did this awful thing.
