i havent seen this movie and after listening to 'fake monica' on friends like a zillion times i dont know wether i should!
is it worth it or will i want to slit my wrists?

I agree with the above comments...it is really a very very good movie.....inspiring, upseting, sad and funny ( robin williams is amazing). I would recommend it. Hope you enjoy it.

Don't believe everything you hear on Friends. Dead Poets Society has some sad scenes, but it's not THAT depressing.
Very entertaining picture, and one where you get to see Robin Williams being both serious AND funny.

I don't know about the "fake Monica" thing, but it's a great movie and I would recommend it to anyone. Yes, some parts are really sad, but I found it very uplifting and inspiring overall.

This is actually one of my favorite movies - great drama starring Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard (from tv's House.) In my opinion it is totally worth seeing! Hope you enjoy! :)
