My father recently purchased a set of buffalo nickles (a.k.a. indian head nickles) for me. However, I am unfamilar with them. Does anyone know where the Mint mark is located on the nickle?
I have around 20 or so of them and I am trying to organize them by all information I can get, but I can't find the Mint mark.

After looking at them, the only obvious letter on them is right under the date, and all of them have the letter "F" some of them almost look like the letter "P"
I looked on the buffalo side and only one out of all of them have any sign of anything, but it looks like a raised bump, but it looks like nothing more.

The mint mark is on the buffalo (bison) side, on the bottom below the words five cents. Good luck with you collection for they are one of the true American coins, the others being the Indian head cent. Some add the Indian gold coins also as true Americana.
