Yes, During Transcription Dna is the template strand to make rna, and incase you were wondering RNA Polymerase is the enzyme that adds the nucleotides. The best advice I got my freshmen year in college biology was to always remember the Template and Enzyme for everything!

DNA is the template stand for making RNA. RNA is then translated into Amino Acids, and Amino Acids into proteins
