Favourite rock group from the 60's?

Here's a list of the 10 of the most popular bands from the 1960's. Some of these guys are still pushing the R'n'R wheelchair today. Pick your fave.

The Experience (Jimi Hendrix)
Grateful Dead
The Monkees (Yes I know, a TV band, but still...)
Cream (Eric Clapton - AKA Derek and the Dominoes because they used similiar band members)
Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa)

Honorable mentions can go to these 3 supergroups which were just starting at the end of that decade, but weren't well established yet:

As we are talking about the 60s here ...that omits the Ramones.So then I gotta say the Stones, you don't have the Beach Boys listed or the 4 Seasons.If you really want to go back a little Jay and the Americans were out there too.Instrumentally there was the Ventures.

I would say Pink Floyd. They formed in 65 so they count and the Syd Barrett era already passed by the time the 70's came around.
