Ok well I used to like my guy friend (J) but now I'm starting to like my other guy friend (D)...I always thought J liked me but I was never sure...but after my friend asked him out and he said yes then I thought I was jumping to conclusions way too fast...A couple days ago D and I started e-mailing eachother and he has become extremelly nice to me...yesterday my friend asked me if I liked D infront of J (didn't didn't hear her asking)and I said no (because she always tells everybody) but ever since then J always flirts with me when I'm with him or when he walks past me in the hall and is nice to me all the time...but I just don't like him as much as I did before...in the meantime me and D keep e-mailing eachother and I feel like he's the only person I can have a "smart" conversation with w/o feeling "overly" smart...so I don't know what to do...please help

just continue to flirt and be nice around (J), you know let him know that ur his friend and all that but dont do anything that would make him think that you like him. and continue to email (D) and let him be really nice to you. having a little fun never hurt anyone.
good luck

Platonic friendships can be among the best for not having the time wasting 'trying to hook up' going on all the time - if one person thinks the other is trying to make it more serious, then that person must immediately state their desire to keep it Platonic - a true friend will respect that.

OK go with "D" i think that you should give him a chance! just make it clear that you really want to be friends if you break up. if that is what you want. but then if you really like "J" make it show that "D" talks about how good you are and that you are amazing lol so maybe it will chance "J" mind lol

Be honest. The truth will set you free. You can be friends with both of them. Get to know them as friends before deciding if you want to date either of them. If you like D more, and he asks you out, then you can go out with him. Be honest. I would get to know them as friends. You do not have to be more than friends with either of them and you can tell J you only want to be friends with him. Nothing more.

You will be the only one to make that choice. Ask yourself, who do you feel more comfortable with, which one are you attracted to most. It appears "D" is the one that you have stable conversation with. Because "J' is paying attention to you now, could it be that you are more attracted to him?
