she set the alarm off? She doesn't have anything with a security tag on her, but it never fails to activate! She's most embarrassed - it happens on the way in and then again on the way out. Anyone know how to stop this problem? (No, she's not a shoplifter!!)

have the person at the desk go through her items in her purse with her present ( especially if she has diet pills or medicine bottles in her purse ) the medicine bottles now have security strips inside the bottles and will set the alarm off. have the person at the desk simply run the bottle or item across their de-activator and no more alarm going off

Hi, she has on her clothing, or more probably her handbag, a RFD. These are what the labour govt wanted in the ID cards so you could be tracked whereever you went.
What to look for, well of course it COULD be something deliberate and so placed in the lining, but more likely an old piece of paper that has it on it or a little bit that has dropped out. It could be as small as a match head.
Empty all pockets, and check, also her purse, handbag etc. Check all underwear to make sure they are not on them, find a friendly store that you know is set of and see if you can identify the item, most stores will help as it is not in their interests to have falsies.
These item after use can and will be scanned to see where you shop, what you buy, and so forth, all immediately when your dustbin is collected and the info "sold" to shops, the government, and many other services, frightening isnt it.
What to do, destroy preferably by burning ALL packaging, if not return all packaging back to the stores, or fill pockets with identified RFD's and go thru checkouts to create falsies.
Have fun.

HA HA HA HA HA I had this same problem for a while. So embarassing.. I didnt even want to go to stores anymore.. Have her check per purse and jackets for those little metallic tags that are inside cloth. I had one of those on my favorite jacket and was humiliated for over 2 months before I inspected the jacket in case something had slipped inside the hole in the bottom of the pockey when i noticed the tag..
