Venus is the Roman goddess of love, beauty and fertility. Originally she was associated with vegetation and was the patron of gardens. She is also the goddess of chastity and is associated with the coming of spring and bringer of joy for gods and mortals.
As the planet was named after this goddess then yes I suppose you could read something into the symbolism of it.

The past week or so? Its been big and bright for hours after sunset for a couple of months now.
As for symbolism, you probably should ask this in Mythology, not Astronomy and Space. What you're asking is not science, so you may not get the answer you're looking for here.

Believe me , a planet has nothing at all to do with fertility. Please join us in the 21st century one of these days.
