-------------Thanks alot answerer 1 and 2. I had already visited those sites before I posted this question though. About Emperor Shiwungdi who built the wall in china, he was a TERRIBLE leader and was hated by the citizens of China. He forced thousands of people to leave their families and work in harsh conditions. He even sent his son there because he thought his son was plotting to kill him. Hadrian on the other hand was an awsome leader and was loved by most all. That is a great connection but I think there might be someone better out there. Anyone else with some good answers, please help!!!!

You should compare Hadrian with the other "Good Emperors," Nerva, Trajan, Antoninus Pius, and Marcus Aurelius. In particular, in one important way, Hadrian excelled Marcus in attention to good government. Hadrian adopted Antoninus Pius, a man of virtue, as his son and successor. Marcus Aurelius did not reach out and "adopt" a distinguished Roman as his "son" and successor. Rather he named his son Commodus his successor. With disastrous reults.

hadrian's known for his wall in england somewhere. you could compare him with the chinese emperor who built the great wall. how their empire got to a point where it may have been too big to handle and that the erection of a wall was done for similar reasons but in radically different places.

i included the wikipedia articles below, but if this is for school, you'll be better off using real encyclopedias. go to the library.
