Well if you are already feeling the "butterfly" movements with your first child at 16 weeks then the real kicks should be coming along shortly. It's different for every woman. At 17 weeks with my second child I was barely feeling the little flutters... but by about 19 weeks I was starting to get the little thumps and then around 20 weeks they were real strong. It's coming up for you real quick! So exciting!! :)
My first child was a different story altogether... I was 5.5 months pregnant before I knew it! I thought it was "uterine contractions or spasms" or something... because I didn't think I could be pregnant.... long story..... lol
All the best to you!

I'm 28 weeks with my first baby and I first felt flutters at 14 weeks and began to start feeling actual kicks and movement when I was almost 18 weeks. They say after 24 weeks it's pretty rare to miscarry/have a stillbirth. Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck :)

Oh doesnt it feel like youve been waiting forever?! I starting feeling little kicks at 19 weeks. I never felt butterflies or anything first. Just a kick one day! I dont think anyone feels kicks that early honestly, (16 weeks) unless they have had other children. They gradually got more frequent and more strong. Probably around 22 weeks you can feel them super good. Other people will be able to feel them too! Thats always fun. Hope I helped, and congratulations! :-)

I'd say when the baby gets a lot bigger is when you'll actually feel kicks. Right now he/she is only 3 1/2-4 inches long. I feel little ticks and squirms and it's so cool! A little strange... but cool! I'm so excited. I'm actually a little afraid of kicks lol I heard that they get really strong and uncomfortable

I started feeling kicks at about 4 months or 4 1/2 months. It was the most awesome feeling!

Soon, I first felt a good kick at 19 weeks. They were strong enough for daddy to feel until about 21 weeks. Have fun and just wait until you feel your baby with the hicups, it's funny!

Everyone is different but a doctor would tell you 20 weeks with first pregnancy. Congrats

It's good that you are feeling anything. I didn't feel kicks until I was 25 weeks.
I think you'll find that everyone is different.
