Is UC Santa Barbara a good school?

UCSB and all the UC campuses are excellent schools with good reputations. UCSB is ranked in the top 50 among the 4000 universities and colleges in the USA. You can get a good education there, and also have a lot of fun while living in a beautiful place.

It is a great school, but you'd best look into the cost of living in the Santa Barbara/Goleta/Isla Vista area before you decide. It's actually one of the most expensive places to live in CA (that and San Francisco).

Yes certainly, especially strong in environmental sciences.
