It should already be up on the left hand side. If it's not there, click "Tools" and make sure "left panel" is selected. Then click "fly to" & there will be a text field where you can type in your address. Once you've typed it in, hit enter, and you'll be home.

I have found the easiest to find my house... (I'm not trying to sound smart-alecky) but is to know where you live. If you are in the US... find the US then zoom in, then find your state, then your area of the state then keep zooming in. Eventually the area should start to look familiar.
You can also go to Google Maps and you can type in an address and it will show you a map - you can then choose from Satellite or road view.

I love google earth! there should be a search thing on the sortof top left.

once you load it one your comp. There's a serch bar in the upper left corner. Just type in your address and volia.
