this is supposed to be a question asking and answering forum for sports minded people to enjoy. how can you NOT root for barry. like him hate him who cares. he is the best player we have ever seen in our generation and will probably ever get to see. So dont miss the show because your hating or to stupid to realize what he is doing. The last time i checked steroids didnt hit a ball. He has the quickest swing in the game. He is the most all around player ever.....No one else has 400 steals 400 homers little own 500-700 (probably soon to be 500 800) I live in st. louis and i am a card fan and pujols fan but i am first and formost a baseball fan. Bottom line Bonds is the best we have ever seen and the best we will ever see. Its not just the homeruns. its the 10 gold gloves the 16 all star performances the all time obs record the all time slug per. record the all time walk record etc. etc. etc. He does more for his team to win than anyone ever to play also. He takes walk after walk after walk and still doesnt hurt his team by expanding his strike zone. If i could play like him i would take roids tommorrow. If pujols, a-rod, or any other name you want to throw in that sentence could play like him i wouldnt blame them for taking roids either. Mcgwire pretty much admitted to taking roids but hasnt got the negativity that bonds has because he isnt near the player bonds is...also y he didnt make the hall Mcgwire was a great homerun hitter but only an average player... bonds has no chink in the armor . Numbers dont lie he is the best. You can dislike him if you want. But if you are a true sports fan please quit acting dumb and pull your head out of your deiriare and enjoy the show cuz just like the single season record. the obs, the slug percentage the 7 mvps' it is coming soon to a ball park near you!!!!!!!

What a stupid question. With no proof or positive test results from MLB or any independent or governmental lab, where do the all ignorant people get the idea he's taking any performance enhancing agents right now? If there was positive proof, he would not be playing ball right now.

I guess it's jealousy that no one on the Red Sox is even close to having 700 career HR's at all. I respect Big Papi and Manny Ramirez, but they are professionals and don't care about fans talking crap about their colleague and fellow professional, Barry Bonds. Lay off the steroid talk unless you have proof. Maybe you're taking steroids yourself, but can't hit a ball out of the infield or don't make millions each year.

Roids or not, he is still a very good player in my book. He has accomplished many things in his carrer and I think he deserves recognition. People make mistakes, and he made a very bad one, but dont down him becuase he is going to break the record. AND YES HE WILL BREAK THE RECORD THIS SEASON.

I hope he doesn't, that kind of player doesn't deserve to hold such a prestigous record. Unfortuanetly, even if Bonds doesn't get the record, the coming generations will be talking more about him than Hank Aaron. So slap your siblings/kids everytime they decide to say the name Barry Bonds or play with the charachter B.B on any game. Go Blue!

I really dont care because Hank Aaron didn't use steriods. if Bonds breaks the all time record for homeruns, i still will put Hank Aaron infront of him in my mind. Barry Bonds had a lock in the hall of fame before he use steriods. he ruined his chances to be a player everyone will remember

im a giants fan, but im not biased. do i think bonds took roids? yes i do. but bonds was a HOFer before he took roids. yes bonds will break the record and everyone in baseball will hate it, except for barry and giants fans. he will break it at home, thats for damn sure because anywhere else, people will boo and show disrespect.

People will be getting beat up and killed just for that ball. Many people will have to go to the hospital just for that ball that will sell for millions on ebay!!!
