I recently read in a magazine that 59% of men will lie to a woman if it will spare her feelings. Is this true in the following situation?

My boyfriend works with a lot of females and my sister was at his resturaunt eating one night when she spotted a female trying to hug him because she hadn't seen him in awhile. She said that my boyfriend politely said hello and didn't hug her. However, I know that he knew my sister was there and maybe that was the reason why he wasn't "hugging" her.

Anyway, I was wondering, if you were my boyfriend and a girl was into you and always bugging you at work, would you tell me about it? Or would you just leave it alone to spare my feelings?

Its like one of those situations when a woman asks her partner if he thinks she looks fat. Sometimes I think guys do that to spare feelings for reasons as such. Sometimes there are situations when it doesn't help anything to know the truth. Personally, If it were me in this situation, I wouldn't want to know. I am sure there were plenty of times a man has hit on you, when you probably didn't feel it necessary to tell your guy about every little thing about it unless you felt like you were violated, right? As long as you trust that he keeps his hands to himself it should be fine even if the girl is hitting on him. If you don't trust him to do that, then THAT is a problem.

It's just a likely that your boyfriend didn't want to hug the other girl than not doing it because you sister was there. You have shown your hand in making the point you did. You are not being open minded and just want to hear others say how bad your boyfriend is.

"If" is a poor point of logic in any debate. Why don't you just trust your boyfriend and go from there. What is he suppose to say? Do you really want him coming home every day telling you a half dozen girls hit on him? I bet you would just love him for that. Of course he shouldn't tell you, you would make his life miserable. He owns a restaurant, he will get hit on lots. It comes with the territory, if you don't like it find another boyfriend.

It depends. Have you ever been upset over things like this with your bf? If so, I wouldn't tell you. It's not worth the grief that comes along with it.

Do you trust him when he's at work and this woman is there too? If so, who cares if he tells you or not? If you don't trust him and you insist on him telling you ..... then that is one of your smallest problems ..... not your biggest.

I'm under the impression that this guy is still YOUR boyfriend and not hers, right? Don't drive him away with your distrust.

Men HATE drama. If I thought you would over react, I wouldn't tell you, and neither would any man. It has nothing todo with urting your feelings. Women who over-react to things breed dishonest boyfriends.
