Yes...the man should have the final say in a marriage. That is not to say, however, that his wife's opinion shouldn't be very important to him. But I've noticed that most men, if they know their wife is going to submit to his decisions, will go out of their way to make their wives happy. Her opinion carries more weight when she's willing to submit than when she's not.

I agree with God and CS Lewis, that if it comes to that only one can decide, then yes, it should be the man.
CS Lewis said imagine walking down the street and seeing a man through his window wearing an apron and his wife sitting in an easy chair while he waits on her.
Or the other way around.
Do they both look natural?
No, it looks more natural for the man to be seated and the wife bringing him his dinner.
Other womem may disagree with me, but as a student of the Bible I see where God made man the head of his house.

That's a nice thought and all but I have to break it to you. Women always get the last say. They are always right. You know why? Because we have something men want and can't go without. Plain and simple.

i agree with Leah about the wives opinion being important to the husband and about submitting. you have to realize that christian men are totally different than secular men. christian men are called to be the authority but also to love his wife.
"Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. 28 In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of his body." - Ephesians 5:21-30
