call your local police or drop by and ask, some states consider 17 an appropriate age to give consent. If your is not one of those, press the charges while you are there, but remember, as much as you hate it, this is the father of your grandchild and you don't want to bring undue stress into a babies life that doesn't deserve it. ( like having his/her daddy locked up in jail and not being able to have a daddy around) I just want you to weigh all options before pressing charges. Good luck

it depends where you live. in some states the age of consent is 17 BUT if the other person is 5 years or more apart in age it is still illegal even if you are consenting. so if it was a 17 and 18 year old it would be different but 17 and 22 is 5 years which is illegal, it doesn't matter if youre turning 18 in a couple months because for now its illegal.

it really depends on what state you live in . some states its 15 others up to eighteen. it is really more of a moral delima than anything. does the person placing the charges want to risk the relationship with their daughter and grandchild. do they want yet another father-less or mother less child in this world .do they want to put that much emotional stress on the young mother who undoubtedly needs the support of her bf. and family even at 30 a daughter wants the support of her family with her first child. regardless to the circumstances of wether the social norms have been met or the fanily likes the father whatever the emotional aspect is as long as the father isn't abusive or a risk to the 17 year old i say let it be. let them live their lives and be as supportive as youcan. at 23 most men are pretty responsible and often have a sound grasp of parent hodd and all that good stuff. i hope it all goes goods for all and the best of luck.

It depends on the laws where you live. For example, here in SC, it is legal to have consensual sex at 17. It is difficult to press charges for statutory rape though, and I think the parents should consider the damage it could do to the relationship they have with their daughter, and their upcoming grandchild.

It varies by country and state, but in most states in the U.S., sex with someone under the age of 18 is considered statutory rape. So, yes, the parents or legal guardians could press charges.

That depends on what state you live in. The age that you are considered an adult varies and can make pressing charges difficult. Contact your local police dept. They would be able to tell you your individual states limitations.

It depends on your state. Here in Wisconsin, they could try, but usually if the girl is 17, and it is concensual, the courts around here will let it be. If she got pregnant at 16, you might have a case.

Good Luck

They can, but it would be a waste of time and money. Since she lives there (I am assuming you mean there as in with the bf) then the court will look at it as the parents had given consent and the girl gave the bf the okay to do it. Honestly.. a waste of time and money... but you can if you want to.
